Independent living skills involve various forms of training and education to help the client achieve independence. The type of services in the program is based on our assessment of their overall needs and may include support to help the person identify possible interests and potentials and hone them, which would then help them land a job that is fit for them.

We promote our clients’ ability to attain a higher level of independence through the following:

  • Money management and meal preparation
  • Locating, acquiring, and maintaining housing
  • Socialization and peer interaction
  • Vocational Services, for those who wish to join the workforce
  • Case management to coordinate clinical and support services from other agencies

Training and support can be provided by the following:

  • Rehabilitation specialists
  • Mental health workers
  • Occupational therapists
  • Licensed social workers
